Testing the Temperature of your Wine
- Place the Vintage Vac™ on top of the neck of an opened bottle of wine.
- Automatic vacuum pump will engage, evacuating excess air from inside the wine bottle.
- Wait for the vacuum cycle to complete.
- In order to get the most accurate reading of your wine’s temperature, press the F/C temperature button. LCD screen will light up for 10 seconds to allow for easy reading. Tilt the bottle so wine travels up the neck and touches the metal temperature probe inside the stopper. Hold in position for about 5 seconds.
- Press the F/C temperature button again to read your wine’s temperature in Celsius.
Storing an Open Bottle of Wine
- Clamp down the Vintage Vac™ securely on top of the neck of an opened bottle of wine.
- The automatic vacuum pump will engage. Excess air will leave the wine bottle.
- Do not tilt the bottle of wine while the vacuum is operating. The automatic tilt shut off feature will stop the vacuum process if the bottle is tilted beyond 35 degrees to avoid spillage.
- Vacuum indicator button will drop slowly as air leaves the bottle.
- Store bottle upright.
